L'OREAL ELVIVE TOTAL REPAIR SHAMPOO+ CONDITIONER - REVIEW

WHAT L'OREAL CLAIMS:

New L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo is specially designed to repair damaged, devitalized hair cell after cell, without weighing down. L'Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo is specifically designed for damaged and devitalized hair. This shampoo repairs the hair without weighing it down. The formula includes pro-keratin and ceramide, which restore the hair fiber, making it stronger and silky to touch with a healthy shine. Suitable for hair damaged by heat or color.

My Thoughts:

This shampoo works wonders for some but not for others. Me and my two other cousins started using it together and none of us liked it. It made our hair dry and frizzy. Our hair fall increased and it made our scalps dry/itchy. Although it lacks sulfates, it contains substitute chemicals which can actually cause more irritation (just for the lathering effect). My scalp has been irritated and itchy. Very annoying.

This weighed my hair down and left the scalp feeling greasy and gross! As someone who hates the feeling of any excess product in her hair, I was not a happy camper. I also know it was the shampoo that did this because I just washed with my regular shampoo and I was all good again!
I have always been sceptical about such damage repair shampoos working. But, I'm human, so I still keep trying and trying different things for my hair. After shampooing my hair it felt very rough; I would understand if it were a clarifying shampoo, but its a moisturising shampoo. The conditioner is good though and it smells nice but the smell doesn't last long.
Also, make sure you click the cap fully closed or the product will ooze out all over.
i got mine from Al-fateh but you can also get these online from these sites.

I am not at all impressed with this shampoo and conditioner and I will never gonna purchase it again for me n my cousins it was a totall waste of money n a lot of good hair days

MAC PRO LONGWEAR FOUNDATION REVIEW

Hello Guys!

I am a foundation junkie and believe it to be the one make up product that can totally elevate your mood and make you feel like an improved version of yourself.I also like a natural finish and this one promised:

" A comfortable, long-wearing foundation that gives up to 15 hours of wear in any environmental condition. Lightweight and creamy, applies and blends easily leaving the skin feeling soft and free to breathe all day while controlling oil. Specially treated micronized pigments help give a smoother, more flawless, natural finish with stay-true color."

My thoughts:

I love using Mac Studio Fix but decided to switch up and try the Pro Longwear.MAC has not yet failed to please me. It is very light and gives  VERY full coverage, I only need a pump and a half  and my whole face is flawless. I am far from flawless. I have redness around my nose and an uneven skin-tone.I always get compliments when I wear this because my skin looks like SKIN, not foundation. Not a mask.

when it says "pro longwear" they really do mean that. My face makeup doesn't budge when i have this on. I ll have had this foundation on for hours and it'll look like i just applied it to my face. It even holds my blush all day which is a huge plus for me because of the Hijab, and yes guys it is Sweat proof haha.

I only have one complain about this foundation and that is you cannot make a mistake after applying this. Removing mascara/eyeliner smudges after the foundation sets is very hard, almost impossible. You cannot remove it without leaving a black gross streak on your face.

I apply it with my fingers. It is very tricky to apply. You have to apply it in small sections. it dries super quickly so you gotta put it on fast. But if you need to go over any areas you missed or need to touch up, it will cake. You need to make sure you exfoliate your face often and moisturize your face well when using these types of foundations. It will make a world of a difference in the way your foundation applies and looks, trust me. It will sink into your skin rather than sit on top of it and blending will be a breeze. If you want heavier coverage make sure you apply it in thin layers, not all at once. I like medium coverage and I can definitely get it from one thin layer as you only need to use a tiny bit of this product.

Over all i am really amazed with this foundation. Amazing coverage,a little over priced but its worth it. Definitely gonna purchase it again

it Retails for 32$  LINK!

Oh I probably wouldn't recommend it for people with very dry skin.
i got mine from MAC's website.
if you live in Pakistan then you can also get it from just4girls.pk LINK! They sell it for 5290/RS on their website.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to leave your comment in the section below telling me about your favorite foundation.

MONDAY MANICURE--FOREVER 21 NAIL COLOR IN MIAMI PINK--NOTD

Miami pink is a very beautiful neon orange pink color. it looks more pink in the bottle and more coral/orange on the  nails, which looks very pretty in the sunlight and is a really fun color for summer n spring.

As for the nail polish itself, it is quite sheer with one coat and is very opaque with two. When I look at my nails in the light, I can see my nail line, so i prefer three coats. The formula is creamy and dries quickly. I was able to apply a second coat within a minute. The finish is actually very shiny. A top coat is totally optional.

Coral is one of my favorite colors and i am also wearing my favorite coral lipstick on my lips today which will debut on my blog very soon.
This Nail Polish can be found at Forever 21 stores LINK!.

Whats on your nails? don't forget to tell me in the comment section below.

Beauty Blogger Tag

Hello Guys!

I love ready and watching Tag posts and videos. They are so much fun. I did few of them on my old blog which is unfortunately no longer working. My friend Hera did one last month, I suggest you all to check her BLOG out, and she is super creative with hair styling. So I decided to do that one too.
Let’s jump right into it!

1. Name a beauty routine you hardly do.
I hate wearing sunscreen and I always forget to moisturize my lips before applying lipstick.

2. Is washing your brushes something that you regularly do?
I wash my brushes every two to three weeks.

3. How long do you wear chipped nail varnish?
Ah! I am very lazy with removing my nail polish. I would say 1 week hehe.

4. How often do you buy/replace a beauty item or nail polish, if you need it?
I always have a backup of my favorite beauty and bath products.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
I hate wearing sunscreen and I avoid wearing it intentionally which is very bad. I know!! :(.

6. Name something (non-beauty) thing that you tend to put off all the time.
That's easy... I hate confrontations.

7. When going out somewhere do you keep getting ready until the last-minute?
It really depends on where I am going, as I can get ready in a few minutes. But! Recently after getting married I can get ready in 40 minutes that includes taking shower, getting dressed, makeup, scarf and accessories.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
Not really, I am a big spender.

9. How organized is your make up and nail polish collection?
It’s pretty organized. Everything is properly placed and I put things back on the right place.

10. What is the longest time you have gone without writing a blog post?
Oh My Goodness! I was out of the blogging world for more than 13 months i.e. my old blog www.glittergossip.com. For some reason that blog is not working anymore. So I made a new one :). I was getting married; I was not able to give full attention to my Old blog. But now I am back in a full swing.

Hope you enjoyed this tag. I am tagging all of you. Leave your feed back in comment box below or if you create a post on this then don't forget to share the link below I would love to see your answers :)

Maybelline's Dream Bouncy Blush In Candy Coral--REVIEW & SWATCH

Hey Guys!

Today i am reviewing Maybelline's Dream bouncy blush in Candy Coral LINK!. I have seen these blushes a lot on YouTube and i have heard a lot of mixed reviews about this product. People either love it or hate it.I got mine from Walgreens for 7.99$. As far as i know these are not yet available in Pakistan but i could be wrong. if you guys know of a place then please share it with us in the comment below.

Description:
Maybelline's Dream Bouncy Blush's unique bouncy texture gives you the freshest flush ever! The revolutionary powder-gel formula is lightweight like a powder, yet it melts seamlessly into skin like a cream, for a sheer wash of bouncy-fresh color that lasts!

Directions:
For the most natural look, use fingertips to apply one layer of blush to apples of cheeks in a circular motion. For more intense color, continue to apply additional layers.

My Thoughts:

They have 10 shades in these blushes and i have been loving everything coral lately so i picked candy coral for myself. I just got one color because i was not sure if i would like it or not. The packaging is just alright.I like the fact that it has a clear top so you don't have to turn and see the label every time you want to apply it.The texture is weirdly cool. You can press the surface and you'll see a dent  from your finger, but then after you smooth it with your finger it bounces back. The texture is very close to play-do.

I like this product. It's different with the mousse like creamy texture but goes on as easy as a powder.I apply it with my fingers. The color candy coral is not very pigmented as you guys can see in the picture but it gives my cheeks a very nice flush of color for a natural look and is not very bright.Candy coral is a very beautiful everyday blush color.I have been using this blush on and off for the last 1 month with BB Cream and i have been liking it a lot the color reminds me of ELF's Peachy Keen Blush but lighter LINK!. I love how it photographs in the sunlight. You have to use your fingers with applying this blush. The staying power of this blush is 3 to 5 hours - not very impressive,But you can reapply it whenever you want with your fingers. I love that you can easily build far more intensity and these blushes are easy to blend. I would certainly consider trying additional shades in the future, but only if I caught them on sale and I think I would only try the other darker shades in the range.

You Might Like It If:

You want a light natural cream blush.
You have no problem applying it with your fingers.

You Might Not Like It If:

You want your blush to last long
If you have darker skin tone.

MY RATING 3 OUT OF 5.

REVIEW: Organix Renewing Moroccan Aragan Oil Conditioner

Hey Guys!

Sorry i have been MIA lately. I was a little sick but now i am back with a review so lets get into it.. I have normal to dry hair and i have always tried to use hair products that make my hair voluminous and moisturized.  Last month i ran out of my Macadamia Deep Repair Masque which i used as a Conditioner( which by the way smells heavenly) so i decided to try a new one from the drugstore to see if i can get the same moisturizing effect with less money.
So about three weeks ago i picked up this Organix Renewing Moroccan Aragan Oil Conditioner  from CVS.

What Organix Claims:
A precious blend of Moroccan argan oil which instantly penetrates the hair shaft restoring shine and softness while strengthening. Derived from the southwest region of Morocco, argan oil protects from styling heat and UV damage while creating soft, seductive, silky perfection. Paraben free.If s the perfect indulgence for soft, seductive, silky perfection,This exotic precious blend of Moroccan argan oil penetrates, moisturizes, renews and creates softness and strength while protecting your hair from harmful styling heat and UV damage as it gives you smooth, sexy tresses. This rare formula has a centuries-old history of providing natural vitamin E and antioxidants while renewing your hair's cell structure, sealing in shine, and creating lush softness. Organix bottles are Eco friendly, manufactured from materials containing recycled post-consumer resin. Not tested on animals.

Directions:
After shampooing, apply Organix Conditioner generously to hair, working through to ends. Wait 3-5 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly.

My Thoughts:
I was so excited to try this conditioner because i have heard so many positive things about morocon aragon oil and how it repairs your hair and makes it smooth and silky. So i got mine from CVS link LINK! It costs 7.99$ for a full bottle but i got the travel size for 2.99$ and i am really glad that i didn't buy the full bottle because i have been using this conditioner for the past 2 weeks and unfortunately this is the worst conditioner i have ever used, it's  even worse than the Revlon Flex One. It has a very nice scent but the consistency of this conditioner is very watery and not thick like a normal conditioner. It wont coat your hair very well and my hair started to fall out. I usually take a shower in the night and when i touched my hair in the morning it felt very dry, crunchy and lifeless.Over all this product is a total fail and it didn't do anything that it claims it will. I will never repurchase it again.

MY RATINGS 0.5 OUT OF 5

REVIEW: Garnier Pure Pimple Control Pen

What Garnier Claims:
Is Garnier Pure pimple control pen right for me? Yes, if your skin is prone to pimples and if you are looking for an effective and targeted action.Works on the pimple from the 1st application.

How is it different?
Garnier Pure pimple control pen has been specifically designed to work on pimples from their first appearance and to ensure you recover pure, clear skin as soon as possible. It comes in a convenient, small tube you can carry around wherever you go.

How does it work?
Its gel formula covers and isolates the pimple, diffusing its active ingredients for a complete action.
As astringent agent to dry the pimple.
Salicylic acid to purify deep down where the pimple starts.

My Thoughts:
I have oily to combination skin and i have been using this product for a few years. It won’t work well for many people who have a lot of pimples or a severe acne problem, but it works fine for my skin type. I use this pen directly on the pimple as soon as it appears and keep reapplying it until the pimple disappears. The gel feels very soothing on my skin and reduces the redness and the size of the pimple.I find Garnier's Skin products very mild and they work really well for my skin type.My brother has very sensitive skin and it works really well for him too. One thing i don't like about this product is that i have to peel off the dried gel from the pimple before reapplying. sometimes its not a pleasant thing to do. Other than that i am very happy with this gel and i have recommended it to a lot of people.
I want to add few things here from Garnier
Do not share the tube.
Refrain from touching the nozzle.
Do not apply the product with your fingers.
I got mine from Al-Fatah Pakistan and a lot of other stores also carry this product, but if you live in the States you can buy it from Ebay!. I would definitely repurchase it and would recommend it to others as well. This product is very useful and very handy

PROS:

(1)It works really well on all skin types
(2)The consistency is perfect, not runny at all.
(3)It dries out the pimple without leaving a scar.
(4)It works way better if you apply it right after your discover the pimple.

CONS:

(1)It has a really chemical smell.
(2)You have to scrub to remove the dried gel before reapplying.
(3)You cant see the product in the tube.
(4)It tingles for a few seconds.(Some people don't like it but for me its a plus)

MY RATINGS 4.5 OUT OF 5.

MONDAY MANICURE--ESAY GOING BY SINFUL COLORS- NOTD

"Easy Going" by Sinful Colors! Absolutely gorgeous milky peachy pink with a strong white undertone to it. One of those classic, nude shades that is appropriate for any event in life, goes on beautifully, and lasts. I love the opaqueness of it. Can't say enough good things about this polish! I need two coats to make it work for me. I am absolutely in love with this color! I am wearing it on my nails right now and love it,not streaky in my opinion and goes on smoothly. It is a perfect girly classy color in my opinion. It's a dupe for one of my all-time favorite polishes Essie "Fiji". REVIEW & SWATCH: Revlon Color Stay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Silhoutte

Hey Guys!

Today i am reviewing Revlon Color stay Ultimate Suede lipstick. The Color i have is called Silhouette and it is a very pinkish natural color. I got mine from ULTA for 9.99$.

What Revlon Claims:

- Instant Moisture
- All-day Color
- Shea butter, Aloe
- Soft suede finish
- Available in 20 shades

My Opinion:

I Like the color a lot and Revlon is one of my favorite brands. This lipstick feels very velvety on the lips.It goes a lot lighter than i anticipated it to go on. I have to put on a lot of product it seems to be more build-able but i like the finish. It's  not matte and not shiny, its actually kind of a velvety Suede like it claims .
It doesn't say how many hours its supposed to last but it lasts me 6 to 7 hours and it is not transferable after the first hour.It sinks into your lips and the finish changes to slightly matte but it is not dry at all. My lips felt moisturized throughout the day. The shade i got is almost the same as my lip color, as you guys can see in the swatch.I would definitely purchase the other colors now.I would definitely recommend it.You guys should try it yourself .

You might like it if..

You want non transferable color.
You want your lipstick to last long.
You don't want intense color.
You want your lipstick to be  moisturizing.

You might not like it if...

You want a dark color just like the tube.
You want SPF in your lipstick.
You Prefer shiny finish.

My Rating 5 out of 5.

Book Review & My Thoughts-The Mortal Instruments Series

The Mortal Instruments series is a supernatural story with an exciting twist. It has three books in the series and fourth one is coming April 2014. The plot is extremely desirable. Once you start, you simply cannot stop. The series takes your mind and bends it to make you love the characters. The characters are loving, humorous, dangerous, and of course, mysterious. The way the author can imagine a world with fantasy, amazes you. The world of Shadowhunters is something new to the shelves and classic to the heart.I bought the first book on iBooks not knowing anything about it at first because i had bought other books that i had already knew of, and i wanted to read them first.. BUT when i started reading it i didn't pause once till I finished it, and then I started the other two and did the same. I can’t wait for the fourth book to come out.
"When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes(human) like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. "

Most books turned movies usually suck compared to the books, excluding harry potter. Its funny how Alot of people compare "The Mortal Instrument" to "Twilight" or harry potter as if those were the only books ever written in the history of the mankind. The stories about vampires and werewolves exists long ago and thousands of writers are using these as materials to create a new and different stories.
I personally liked "Twilight Saga" when I first read it and so does "The mortal instruments". They are unique in their own stories. I loved The Mortal Instruments series not because it is “like” Twilight. I love it because of the plot, the characters and the world that the writer created.
"The mortal instruments" might not have as many fans as twilight Yet but i am hopeful the director will do it justice in the movie format so more people can see the awesomeness of "Cassandra Clare". The only similarity between "The Mortal Instruments" and "Twilight Saga" is that they have vampires and a love triangle, other then that they just can’t be compared. They are on two completely different fields. It has the magic/fantasy of Harry Potter and the Romance of Twilight, although the relationships in this series are much more complex, interesting and relate-able. I think it’s very cute. The sarcasm in it is perfect

Can't Wait for the Movie!

I definitely recommend it if you like fantasy fiction and books with vampires and werewolves. These are my thoughts on the whole series. If you want me to review each book separately then let me know in the comments below and don't forget to read the book before watching the movie!

July favorites

July is officially over and it was a very busy and hectic month for me. Health-wise not so good. I had infection and i had to see the doctor a few times but now i am perfectly fine. Beauty-wise it was a really good month. I have found a lot of new and good beauty products & brands. Ramadan is going very well,my family likes to stay at home for iftar and i am trying to eat healthy. So except for coffee, i have been eating pretty much at home all the time.

Anyways lets get into the post

I have been loving Clearsonic Mia.It is an amazing invention and worked really well on my skin. I've had no side effects yet (fingers crossed). I am planning on a full on review of my experience on Mia with you guys so don't forget to check that out in the future.
LINK!

MAC Studio Fix fluid is my love. I have been using it for 7 years now and it is hands down the best full coverage foundation for my skin when my skin needs full coverage. i am shade NC20 . if you guys want me to do a review on it let me know in the comments below:)
LINK!

Garnier BB Cream is for those days when i don't want to spend a lot of time doing my makeup or i m in a hurry i use this cream with mascara and Bright lipstick. I have a detailed review on this BB Cream LINK!
LINK!

Yes To Grapefruit Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream & Dark Spot Correcting Serum are going to be the permanent in my daily routine. I have been using these for almost 1 and half months and i cannot tell you guys how much they've made my skin happy. My next post is a detailed review on these two babies, so if you want to get rid of acne spots or fine lines under your eyes don't forget to read my next blog post
LINK!

I have heard a lot of bad stuff about Maybelline Color Whisper in the past, that they are very sheer or won't last long but i could not resist buying one because i love the packaging, its very sleek and girly. I wanted to be safe so i went for the almost nude color "Lust For Blush".This is a muted, slightly cool toned mauvey pink on my lips. It's sheer but pigmented and build-able (not to full coverage), has a glossy finish, non-drying not moisturizing either. I love it  . I might purchase more colors in this collection but right now i am content with this one . I got mine from ULTA for 7.49$ LINK! Other then that i have been using wet & Wild's Spotlight Red a lot and if you want to know my thoughts about it, Click HERE!

The perfumes i gravitate towards are girly, sweet and floral. I don't like ones that are too musky or citrusy.  But this month i have been using The Body by Burberry a lot i don't know how to explain this scent. This is not my typical sweet scent but it is very womanly, very sophisticated and not too overpowering. It makes me feel like a lady haha . This perfume is actually inspired by Burberry's trench coat which is always beautiful and classy. It has rosewood, iris and vanilla in it. I absolutely love this perfume.
LINK!

I have two favorite polishes this month. One is from OPI "Skull and Bones" from their Pirates of the Caribbean collection. This is very unique color, a very milky, dirty grayish, white color.
The other one is from Sinful colors and is called "Boogie Nights". It's pinkish coral in color.

NONE BEAUTY FAVORITES

TRUE BLOOD
Loving the new plot about Lilith and Bill but totally hating the new romance between Warlow and sookie. I want sookie and Eric together .

DEVIOUS MAIDS
New drama reminds me of Desperate housewives which i absolutely loved. So i am hooked on this too
